John Crews, Gunsmith/Owner
John Has been gunsmithing since he first became an apprentice in 1979. He attended and graduated from Colorado School of Trades, one of the top gunsmithing schools at the time, in 1982. In 1986 he was assigned to the Training Division of his police department as the Rangemaster and Armorer. He served there for 3 years, attending factory armorer courses from most of the manufacturers supplying guns to police in the US.
For nearly his entire adult life, John has operated a gunsmithing business of his own, and has worked for several other gunsmithing shops in California and Idaho.

John is a skilled photographer with business experience in product, fashion, portrait and wedding photography. John is known for his striking ability to capture the essence of both landscapes and human subjects. With decades of experience, he combines technical expertise with a keen artistic vision, resulting in compelling imagery that resonates with viewers. John’s work encompasses a diverse range of styles, from intimate portraits to expansive nature scenes, reflecting his deep appreciation for the world around him. John provides product and technical photographs as needed to support our shop.
Evan Crews, Information Technology
Evan is an avid shooter and gun collector. Professionally, he works as a
Software Engineer, and provides a pleathora of skills to the information technology needs of Crews Custom Gunsmithing LLC. Whether it is new software tools for tracking gunsmith business processes, networking support, or hardware configuration, Evan is the Man when it comes to keeping our information systems operational.
